Square-Mesh Netting Class Supplies

Materials to net:

Type of Project Fiber Mesh Sticks
Headbands 6 to 12 yards of 1/8″ ribbon (smooth) or size 3 crochet thread 3/4″, 3/8″, 1/4″
Belt 30 yards of worsted weight cotton yarn
I have used both Peaches & Creme (found at Wal-Mart) and Lily’s Sugar ‘n Cream cotton yarn.
Bag string, worsted weight cotton yarn, or cord
I have used both Peaches & Creme (found at Wal-Mart ) and Lily’s Sugar ‘n Cream cotton yarn, as well as string from a hardware store.
39 yards for small size
63 yards for medium size
55 yards for large size

1/2″, 1″, 1.5″, 2″

Trellises size 18 bonded netting cord or 1/8″ wide cord
square: 40 yards
rectangle: 50 yards

The following supplies are needed for each of the projects.

Netting Shuttle: narrow width of 1/2″ or less

Jann’s Netcraft has a shuttle that is 12″ long by 1/2″ wide.

Tension Device

Foundation Loop Cord: 12″ piece of size 10 crochet cotton or string

General Tools: scissors, tape measure or ruler, and blunt end tapestry needle
