I just got an idea I have to share, partly because I don’t want to forget it, and partly because I need your input.
I would start a library of my patterns that pattern library members could access for a yearly fee.
I would add around 20 patterns each year. The patterns might be doilies, bags, snoods, ornaments, shrugs, scarves, or anything else I have. I would try to have a variety, and pattern library members would be able to let me know what they would like to see included.
Currently each of my patterns costs $3.50. I would charge an annual $50.00 membership fee, which would bring the cost per pattern down to around $2.50 per pattern (even lower if I decide to add more than 20).
My questions to you:
Does this sound like a good idea? Explain why or why not.
What patterns would you like to see included?
Not for me. I mainly want patterns for a snood.
I have not even learnt anything yet.
There will be a snood pattern included in the class – Netting, More or Less, the second beginning class which discusses increases and decreases.
Great idea. When is it going to happen?
When I get some of the beginning classes done.
